What a week it was at the 2025 Ford NHC!
For the first time since 2009 Canterbury played host to the Ford NHC!
Congratulations to our teams who all played incredibly well! With a fantastic achievement of three gold medals, a silver, and two bronze from our SIX teams!
- Tier 1 Men:The Motus Health Canterbury Cavaliers take first place beating North Harbour 5-0
- Tier 1 Women: The Motus Health Canterbury Cats take third place, beating North Harbour 5-2
- Tier 2 Men: The Canterbury Beavers collect the silver losing to Wairarapa 2-2 (SO 3-5)
- Tier 2 Women: The Canterbury Barracudas remain the defending champions beating Waikato 2-2 (SO 4-3)
- Tier 3 Men: The Canterbury Cobras won Tier 3 taking down Bay of Plenty 3-1
- Tier 3 Women: The Canterbury Coyotes claim third place, beating South Canterbury 2-0
Our Officials also had a fantastic week, with several being appointed to medal matches, and Ben Grant and Katrina Turner being awarded the most valuable male and female umpires at NHC (Katrina for the third year in a row)!
We would like to say a huge thank-you to all our Canterbury staff, players, coaches, managers, physios, officials, judges, ballkids, and volunteers to helped to make the NHC such a fantastic event, and one of the best NHC’s our community has seen!
