ANNOUNCING THE CANTERBURY DEVELOPMENT NETWORK
Canterbury Hockey is pleased to announce the establishment of the Canterbury Development Network.
This network will provide a high quality and unique opportunity for our current CPL players and SSP Division 1 players (over 16 yrs of age) to improve fitness, enhance skill development and receive coaching in small groups from Canterbury’s leading coaches.
Sessions will be run twice per week at Nga Puna Wai (Monday and Wednesday evenings) with support from the Hockey NZ Performance Network. The programme will be coordinated and led by Chris Leslie with input and coaching support from Aaron Ford and other top Canterbury coaches. Sessions will provide great opportunities for field players and specialist goal keepers to gain a competitive edge during the off-season and get a glimpse of what the performance development and the pathway looks like.
The Programme will be run in two blocks
- Block 1 (5 weeks) – Monday 16 November to Wednesday 18 December (session 1 – 5.30-7.00pm and session 2 – 7.00 – 8.30pm)
- Block 2 (5 weeks) – Monday 18 January to Wednesday 17 February 2021
Cost per block is $210 GST inclusive.
Athletes are able to self-nominate and register on our website via the following link.
Note registrations are limited to 60 athletes (excluding those already on the current HNZ Performance Network Programme). Get in quick as registrations close Wednesday 11 November at 5pm
