Christchurch Indian Sports Club's (CISC) interest in sport started with hockey in 1936. Those initial years of the club gave the opportunity for young Indian men to enjoy each others company over sport.
Hockey is the founding sport of the Christchurch Indian Sports Club (CISC), and it continues to be a cornerstone of their community. With a rich history and passionate players, their hockey program brings together skill, teamwork, and camaraderie. The CISC compete yearly in the NZ Indians Hockey Championship over King's Birthday weekend.
