What a fantastic week at the Ford National Hockey Championship for Canterbury!
The Motus Health Canterbury Cats won the Tier 1 Ford National Hockey Championship in a thrilling game which saw them take down North Harbour 2-1!
The Canterbury Beaver's topped the Ford National Hockey Championship Men's Tier 2 topping North Harbour 2-1 - after remaining unbeaten the entire week!
Meanwhile the Motus Health Canterbury Cavaliers took home bronze in Tier 1 after beating Auckland 3-2, and the Canterbury Barracudas took 7th place in Tier 2 after beating the NZ Defence Force 8-1.

It was awesome to see so many Canterbury Umpires and officials selected to officiate at the Ford NHC, congratulations to Katrina Turner, Rachel Murphy, Gareth Greenfield, Nic Rankin, Ben Grant, Nick Saunders, Wayne Sleeman, and Max Beech you all did an amazing job! A special congratulations to Ben Grant who was awarded the Most Valuable Umpire Trophy.
We'd also like to say a huge thank-you to all the Coaches, Managers, and other team support staff who helped get our squad to Dunedin and support them while they were down there!
