Return to hockey update
September 10, 2021
The CHA team is very pleased to be welcoming our teams competing in the final rounds of their competitions back onto the turfs to prepare.
In line with the communications that have already been sent out to all clubs and schools, please see below the key points for our hockey community to remember:
- Please scan/sign in using the COVID-19 Tracer app at all venues.
- Around the turf area, please adhere to the Government social distancing guidelines of 2 metres apart.
- Please complete all team talks and warmups outside the facilities.
- Do not enter the facilities until your scheduled ‘entry time’.
- Please sanitise your hands upon entry and exit from the turfs.
- To maximise everyone’s safety, the CHA team has included an allocation of time or gap between most trainings and matches to minimise cross over between teams.
- CHA has invested in additional Venue Supervisor hours to ensure all dugouts and high touch areas are sprayed and wiped down after every session.
- Until Wednesday 15 September, spectators are discouraged at all venues, as CHA prepares to staff and manage what the spectator solution could look like for our final matches.
- All changing rooms are closed at both Ngā Puna Wai (NPW) and Nunweek Park facilities.
- Access to the turfs and dugouts at NPW will be through the clearly marked gates at the north and south ends of each turfs' dugout. The main entry from the back of the dugouts will be closed.
- Nunweek Park is now split into three (3) clear and fenced zones, with only one entry/exit gate for each.
- Players are not to enter or warm up in the St Bede's College grounds at Marist Park.
