A new partnership between Canterbury Hockey and Motus Health
June 11, 2021
Canterbury Hockey has signed an updated sponsorship/partnership agreement with Motus Health, with both parties aiming to enjoy a long-term association.
Motus Health has the most significant presence of physiotherapy clinics in the South Island, especially in the Canterbury region. Motus offers broad physiotherapy services, including the prevention of, and recovery from, sports-related injuries. Its professional team also provides sports performance enhancement services, such as exercise physiology.
“One of the core values of Motus Health is that of being community focussed, and we see our commitment to Canterbury Hockey as aligning well with our commitment to community level sport, from junior club right through to senior representative level,” says Managing Director of Motus Health Grant Chittock.
“Motus Health’s tag line is “helping New Zealand live active” and being able to support organisations such as Canterbury Hockey that enable kiwis to participate in sport at all levels is really important to us,” Grant adds.
“With safety and wellbeing playing such an imperative role in sport, a partnership and collaboration with an industry leader like Motus Health is so important and highly valued by Canterbury Hockey and our large community,” Canterbury Hockey CEO Shane Maddaford says.
One of Motus Health’s partnership goals is to support hockey within Canterbury by providing a quality service with passionate and knowledgeable physiotherapists working with our representative teams through the season.
Related to this, Motus aims to help upskill the hockey community on best practice injury management, injury prevention and, most importantly, performance improvement.
“I’m really excited about the opportunity to be a principal sponsor of Canterbury Hockey and have naming rights for the Canterbury Hockey CATs and CAVs. We view this as a long-term relationship that will evolve and strengthen with the ultimate goal to have more people playing the game,” Grant says.
“The support being delivered by Motus Health through this agreement is greatly appreciated for our sport, and I look forward to working with Grant and his team to see the relationship strengthen even further and continue to develop into a long-term partnership,” Shane says.
