Hockey NZ Coach Development Programme
May 07, 2021
Attention Coaches
Canterbury Hockey in partnership with Hockey New Zealand will be hosting the National Coaching Programme 'Introduction to Coaching'. This is a nationally recognized programme that is part of the Hockey New Zealand Coach Development Programme.
The programme is designed for individuals who are new to coaching, and coaches working with youth and adult aged players who are new to hockey or considered to be novice to beginner players.
Once coaches register for the programme, they will have access to online lessons prior to attending a face to face workshop.
The face to face workshop will provide coaches with an opportunity to work with a Hockey NZ Developer to practically apply their learning and receive feedback to support their development.
Following the face to face workshop, coaches will engage in an online reflection lesson before applying the new knowledge and feedback into their daily coaching environment with their school, club and/or association.
Coaches who complete the programme will receive a certificate to acknowledge and recognise their engagement in the programme.
The face to face workshop will be held from 5-8pm on 16th of May and include a light supper.
The cost of the programme is $70.00 including GST and coaches are encouraged to speak with their school or club to support the investment in their development.
