LAST WEEKEND AT NPW
I really enjoyed watching my first weekend of live, international hockey at last weekend’s Pro League matches at Nga Puna Wai. Despite the weather on Saturday, the results on Sunday more than made up for it. This was a fantastic opportunity to meet a large number of our hockey community as well as many of our sponsors and Hockey NZ colleagues.
The next 10 days will be incredibly busy for us while we host the NZ Masters Tournament and the final Pro League matches against Argentina. Nunweek Park and Nga Puna Wai will be humming with over 80 Masters Teams utilising our turfs over the coming week. If you have the chance, come down and cheer on these teams and Back our Black Sticks! The challenge for us is to balance the time and resource that these events take up while maintaining our day to day business and meeting the needs of our clubs and schools. Please be patient with us over the next few weeks but rest assured we are working hard to meet expectations on all fronts.
Please come and say hi and introduce yourself if you see me hanging around the turfs over the coming weeks. Emma
THE ARGENTINIANS ARE COMING
